Guidance for students
· Seek advice from Progress Tutors/teachers about your grades – grades can be checked if your think there is a mistake.
· If the college does not recommend / advise / support a remark / clerical check – the resit options can be discussed
· If the college agrees that your grade should be checked a review of results can be submitted, email completed form to [email protected])
· Payment should be made via the college Store St Brendan's Sixth Form College Store please see table for options and cost per exam paper (payment must be made before application can be submitted)
· If the outcome of the review of marking comes back and you are still not happy an appeal can be made (additional cost)
· Exam officer will contact you with the outcome via email/Phone.
Clerical re-checks, reviews of marking and appeals – Additional Information:
The following information explains what may happen following a clerical re-check, a review of marking and any subsequent appeal.
If your college submits a request for a clerical re-check or a review of the original marking, and then a subsequent appeal, for one of your examinations after your subject grade has been issued, there are three possible outcomes:
? Your original mark is lowered, so your final grade may be lower than the original grade you received.
? Your original mark is confirmed as correct, so there is no change to your grade.
? Your original mark is raised, so your final grade may be higher than the original grade you
